Rain Check is a Philadelphia Water program that helps residents manage stormwater at their homes. Participants can get a free rain barrel and/or get a downspout planter, rain garden or porous paving installed at a reduced price. Rain Check supports Philadelphia’s Green City, Clean Waters program which is working in neighborhoods across the City, adding green features to keep excess stormwater out of sewers.

The program is funded by Philadelphia Water and managed by the Pennsylvania Horticultural Society (PHS) in partnership with the Sustainable Business Network (SBN).

Terraquarbor is proud to be an official contractor for this program!   We currently install Rain Barrels, Downspout Planters and Rain Gardens for the Rain Check program.

If you are a Philadelphia resident, you can learn more and apply for stormwater tools at a workshop near you.  Follow this link to sign up!

Terraquarbor is a certified arborist with the City of Philadelphia.  We help maintain the health of our urban forest and have planted many new street trees in the city.

Did you know that Philadelphia Parks and Recreation manages all the street trees in Philadelphia?  All street tree plantings, pruning and removals must be done by certified arborists with a permit obtained from Philadelphia Parks & Recreation.

Damean Snyder is a Certified Arborist and Climbing Specialist with the International Society of Arborists.  What exactly does that mean?  We follow ISA safety regulations and stay up to date on the newest technology and techniques through continuing education.

We are also members of Green Stormwater Infrastructure Partners (GSI Partners) an initiative of SBN.  The GSI Partners are a network of industry professionals working to advance the local green stormwater infrastructure industry and innovation in the Greater Philadelphia region.  GSI Partners was formed to support the success of Green City, Clean Waters.  Their mission is to advance the local GSI industry, innovation, and the local economy as it relates to GSI. They are the only business network working to ensure that the greenest approaches to stormwater management are facilitated and incentivized as much as possible.
